Twelve24 - The Single

Twelve24’s self-titled debut single hits the streets this week adding a fresh, passionate voice to The Message Trust’s arsenal of evangelistic schools bands.

Twelve24 met on The Message’s Genetik training course for trainee evangelists. Band members Ryan, Josh and Christine are aged between 18 and 24 and hail from the US and around the UK.

Their sound is described as ‘hip-pop’ but as Tim Owen, head of creative at The Message and former member of the Tribe comments, ‘Twelve24 are cutting their own groove.’

‘They’re taking the big issues facing young people today and hitting them head-on. And they’re not watering down the message of hope in the gospel.’

Storming opener Real Love and more reflective Fix Me, deal with issues of family breakdown, self-respect and God’s undeserved love in the midst of our own brokenness. Bonus track Avenue is a fresh rendering of a classic Tribe track, distilling the whole gospel into a moving five minute monologue.

The band’s uncompromising sound is matched by their approach to schools work: ‘These guys are totally committed to the young people of Manchester,’ says Tim. ‘And their passion is growing by the day.’
